Slated Candidates for Three Village Trustee positions to be elected on April 4, 2023
Trustees Charles Orth, Thomas Whittaker and William “Todd” Fowler slated by the Northfield Caucus to stand as candidates at the next Village Elections, April 4, 2023
The Northfield Caucus has unanimously voted at its Biennial Public Town Hall Meeting on November 17, 2022 to slate William “Todd” Fowler, Charles Orth and Thomas Whittaker as its recommended candidates for the forthcoming Village trustee election to be held on April 4, 2023. The three candidates are each serving trustees whose four-year terms end in 2023.
David Woodyatt, Chair, commented “The Caucus concluded its work on October 21st. It went through an extensive due diligence process, invited all village residents to be considered, reached out to many citizens and interviewed its applicants individually and extensively. The Caucus is pleased with the outcome. Our serving trustees have done a faithful and dedicated job of representing the community. The Caucus relies on their ongoing support of the Caucus Platform which is focused on Northfield continuing to be one of the most attractive communities to live in Illinois. We believe Trustees Fowler, Orth and Whittaker present an optimal choice for our voters. The next task depends on our community to vote in the April, 2023 elections.”
During the meeting, the Caucus also ratified the current Platform. Woodyatt also shared that the Northfield Caucus will be conducting in
the coming year a survey of the community on “hot button” issues to better inform it of village priorities. Woodyatt concluded with an
appeal of continuing interest in adding new members to the Village Caucus to represent not only geographic communities but the
increasing age and other demographic changes that are making Northfield a vibrant and attractive place to live and bring up a family.
